Now that Chubb has merged the underwriting team of its financial institutions business in the UK and Ireland with that of its London Market wholesale and specialty arm Chubb Global Markets (CGM), the insurer has created a position for the head of the combined units.

Jonathan Kennett, the financial institutions manager who came onboard in 2017, is moving up to be in charge of the leadership, strategy, and performance of Chubb’s financial Institutions business in the UK and Ireland and CGM. His expanded remit is effective immediately.

“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to this new and important role,” commented Matthew Shaw, division president of CGM. “The restructure of our underwriting teams has been [undertaken] to enable the seamless delivery of our financial institutions offering, focused around broker and customer needs.

“Jonathan has a broad knowledge and depth of experience across the financial institutions business and is well placed to further develop our products, coverage, and service in this area.”

Prior to Chubb, Kenneth held senior leadership positions at the likes of AIG, Munich Re, and Zurich.
