Chubb has announced the appointment of Benjamin Rowley as senior underwriter of financial lines for Chubb Global Markets.
Rowley is a medical malpractice specialist with expertise in errors and omissions, the company said. In his new role, Rowley will be responsible for growing and managing this specialised area of Chubb Global Markets’ business.
The appointment is effective immediately, according to Chubb. Rowley will report to Trevor Omes, underwriting manager for financial lines at Chubb Global Markets.
Prior to coming to Chubb, Rowley worked at Hiscox, where he underwrote E&O business on behalf of Syndicate 33. He most recently served as head of healthcare within the Hiscox casualty division.
“(Rowley) brings with him a wealth of underwriting experience and has a deep knowledge and understanding of some highly specialised areas, particularly medical malpractice,” said Matthew Shaw, executive vice president, Europe, and division president for Chubb Global Markets.
