Chubb has made a couple of changes in its regional approach with two new appointments within the Midlands and South regions.

Making the jump from Aspen is Michael Avent, who becomes regional manager for the Midlands and the South. Avent, who has also worked at the likes of Liberty and Zurich, will take on responsibilities relating to the region’s financial performance and developing its growth strategy under the watchful eye of Sara Mitchell, the firm’s head of corporate vision UK&I.

“Michael’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to increase our presence even further in this important region for Chubb,” commented Mitchell.

Meanwhile, Louise Joyce has earned a promotion into the position of branch manager for Birmingham. Joyce has been with the firm since 2005 and was most recently its Midlands and South casualty underwriting manager for the Birmingham, Reading and Maidstone branches.

“I am delighted that Louise has been appointed to this role,” added Mitchell. “The fact that this is an internal promotion demonstrates the depth of talent and expertise we have within our business.”
