Gaenor Jones, the Middle East regional director for the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), presented a significant accolade to Prasad Fernando, the senior partner of Arma Underwriting Limited. Fernando received the International Professional Partner Firm (IPPF) plaque, marking a notable recognition for the firm.

The IPPF designation by the CII is an honour bestowed upon firms outside the UK that voluntarily adhere to the CII's Code of Ethics and commit to maintaining and enhancing professional standards within the insurance industry. Arma Underwriting’s acceptance as an IPPF is particularly noteworthy as it is the first managing general agent (MGA) based outside the UK to align with the CII.

Arma Underwriting’s achievement follows its recent accolade as the Managing General Agent of the Year at the Middle East Insurance Industry Awards. In the same event, Gaenor Jones was also honoured with the Woman Leader of the Year Award, in recognition of her dedication to raising professional standards in the insurance sector across the Middle East.

“We are proud to welcome Arma Underwriting Ltd to our community of International Professional Partner Firms. Clients, customers, members, and the wider market recognise IPPFs as leaders in upholding professional standards within the insurance profession. IPPFs are proudly committed to the professional development of their people, and to providing exceptional customer outcomes,” Jones said.

“Arma Underwriting is honoured to be awarded the International Professional Partner Firm status by the Chartered Insurance Institute. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to upholding the highest professional standards in everything we do. We are proud to be recognised as a partner firm that values ethics, professionalism, and integrity in the global business community. We want to extend our sincere thanks to Gaenor Jones and the Chartered Insurance Institute for this recognition,” Fernando said.
