There is a new face at Ecclesiastical, as Sarah Willoughby (pictured) makes the jump from Oak Underwriting Plc.

Willoughby will take the role of art and private client director for the company’s UK general insurance business having held leadership roles for the last 16 years, including in the position of deputy managing director and head of operations at Oak.

“Sarah has great experience, skills and a proven track record in this market and is ideally positioned to take on this pivotal role within the UKGI business,” commented Adrian Saunders, Ecclesiastical’s UKGI commercial director. “She will be responsible for further developing our Art and Private Client business and delivering on our growth plans for this area.”

The art and private client business was described as “very important” by the company’s managing director John Blundell who believes Willoughby has the experience to expand on its profitable growth.

“As an insurer with recognised industry expertise and an ethical ethos, I am looking forward to joining Ecclesiastical and to continuing the development of its art and private client proposition,” added Willoughby, who officially joined the firm on Monday. “I am excited at the prospect of taking art and private client and the team to succeed in our ambition to become a leading High Net Worth insurer.”
