The latest edition of The Legal 500 has granted Fenchurch Law a tier one ranking for its policyholder litigation capabilities and expertise, as well as its client-focused ethos.

“Fenchurch Law ‘is at the top of its game’ and specialises in acting for policyholders and insurance brokers in multimillion-pound coverage disputes,” said The Legal 500. “‘The ethos of the firm is very client centred’, with high-net-worth individuals and companies from a range of sectors instructing the practice in everything from D&O (directors and officers) claims to cross-border work as well as professional indemnity, property damage, and Lloyd’s market disputes.”

Also commended for being a leading individual in insurance litigation was managing partner David Pryce, while partners Daniel Brooks and Amy Lacey were rated as next-generation lawyers.

“From the very launch of the firm seven years ago, our aim has been to provide insurance policyholders with access to the same levels of legal expertise and support that insurers have in dealing with complex claims disputes,” commented Pryce. “To be recognised for both our policyholder litigation expertise and our client-focused ethos is testament to the commitment of the team to ensuring there is a level playing field in the resolution of disputes.”

Pryce added: “This recognition also comes in no small part thanks to the support and shared commitment of the insurance broking community to improving outcomes for policyholders. We will continue to work with them to develop our services and capabilities to reflect the evolving needs of policyholders to support their clients through complex disputes.”

The Legal 500 analyses the capabilities of law firms around the world, assessing strengths in more than 100 jurisdictions and updating a comprehensive research programme every year.
