A familiar face is back at RSA Group.

Karen Caddick (pictured), former HR director of RSA’s personal lines brand MORE TH>N, has been tapped to take on a bigger role. Appointed as group & UK HR director, Caddick is succeeding Cathy Lewis who will be retiring from executive work this year.

The major arrival made the switch from Saga Plc where she served as group HR director from 2015. At RSA, she previously worked in the UK and international business from 1993 to 2001.

“I’m delighted to be returning to RSA, a company whose values have remained with me throughout my career,” commented Caddick. “I’ll be immersing myself in the business, really listening to our people to understand what we need to do to continue building a high-performing, fantastic place to work.

“People and culture are essential to RSA’s growth and long-term success and I’m looking forward to working with the team to shape our plans.”

Caddick’s HR experience includes time spent at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, Wm Morrison Supermarkets, and Barclays Plc.

“With a strong track record inside and outside of the insurance industry, Karen has the expertise required to help our people and business achieve success in our chosen markets,” said RSA group chief executive Stephen Hester.

“I am especially pleased that she has chosen to return to RSA to support us in the next phase of our development, combining a good understanding of our culture and values with insight and experience gained elsewhere.”

Meanwhile the CEO had nice words for Lewis as well.

“I would also like to extend my thanks to Cathy, under whom RSA has taken important steps forward in our HR agenda across the group, and extended our reputation as an expert and inclusive employer,” he noted.
