Insurance employers across broking, claims and specialty lines have announced a series of senior appointments. Recent moves span dispute resolution, commercial broking, property and casualty claims, and global energy.
Malago Insurance Brokers marks 10 years with senior broker hire
Independent Bristol brokerage Malago Insurance Brokers is marking its tenth anniversary with the appointment of experienced insurance professional Stephen Peacock (pictured) as senior broker, reinforcing its commitment to sustained growth and client service.
Founder Mathew Rowles established Malago in Bristol in 2016, building the business on strong technical expertise and a clear service ethos.
“This is an exciting point in Malago’s journey and a fantastic opportunity for me,” Peacock said. “Having worked in insurance since 1995, I have built experience across a wide range of commercial clients and seen how important strong, relationship led advice truly is. Gallagher strengthens dispute resolution team with director hire
Gallagher has expanded its dispute resolution insurance practice with the appointment of specialist investigations and disputes lawyer Alexandra Carr as a director in its London-based team.
Carr joins from law firm Howard Kennedy and brings around 15 years’ experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution across a range of industries. Her practice has covered commercial disputes, investigations and inquiries, insurance litigation and wider risk mitigation strategies.

Intact Insurance names Vicky Walker vice president
Intact Insurance has appointed Vicky Walker as vice president of property and casualty claims, effective immediately.
The appointment supports Intact Insurance’s continued focus on enhancing its commercial claims capability and delivering consistent, high‑quality service for brokers and customers.
Vicky is currently claims supply chain & shared service director and has a strong track record of delivering customer-focused outcomes, operational excellence and continuous improvement across complex claims environments.
“Vicky has been with the business for 25 years and brings deep operational expertise and leadership experience. Her strong focus on customer outcomes and developing high performing teams makes her exceptionally well placed to lead property and casualty claims into its next chapter," said Karl Helgesen, UK&I chief operating officer.
HDI Global appoints global head of energy and power
HDI Global (HDI) has appointed Mark Mackay as global head of energy and power, effective March 1.
Mackay succeeds Franz Adamczyk, who is stepping back from the role after decades of shaping and expanding the energy & power portfolio alongside clients and brokers worldwide.
A chemical engineer by training, Mackay brings over 15 years of international insurance experience and a track record of building portfolios through technical underwriting excellence, client‑centric solutions and strong broker partnerships. He joined HDI in 2019. Previously, Mackay held leading roles at AXA XL and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
Adamczyk will step back as global head of energy and power. He has been with HDI since 1981, building the portfolio together with clients and partners, including significant development in HDI’s US operations in Chicago. Importantly, he remains with HDI Global and will continue to contribute through his global risk property responsibilities and as a senior advisor supporting the energy & power segment.
