Re/insurance software provider Sequel has appointed Tom Boucher as the company’s new CFO.

The firm said Boucher has been brought in to help CEO Mario Garcia and the rest of the team as the business looks to execute its next phase of growth.

“Sequel has consistently delivered innovative solutions to its customers over the years,” Boucher said. “The company’s ground-breaking software is driving real change within the insurance market and the industry is waking up to the opportunities that this technology presents.”

Boucher has held several executive roles within and supporting private equity-backed companies. He joins from Camwell Management LLP where he was a partner.

His previous roles include CFO of the University of Law, a higher education provider backed by Montagu Private Equity. He was also CFO of Data Explorers, an international financial data business.

“Tom’s impressive and successful track record of working in technology-enabled and private equity backed businesses makes him the perfect fit for us,” Garcia said. “His expertise will play a vital role in helping to accelerate Sequel’s growth in the months and years ahead.”
