Jensten Group has appointed Dean King to the role of business development manager for the South, South East and London, for the three marques under the company’s wholesale division – Policyfast, City Underwriters and Senior Wright Ltd.

King joins Jensten Group from Unicorn Commercial. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held roles on both the MGA and insurer sides of the business. He has built strong relationships with brokers at his previous roles in Unicorn Commercial and LV.

“I’m excited to be joining the Wholesale team and be part of their ambitious growth plans over the coming years. I’ve had great feedback about the team and their desire to write business,” commented King on his appointment.

“As Jensten Wholesale continues to build and develop an already great business, we need great people who really understand our brokers, their needs and expectations. Dean fits the profile, and he will be a great asset to the team and wider organisation by helping drive Jensten Group’s growth plans,” said Jensten Group wholesale, sales, and distribution director Kev Aubrey.

In February, Jensten Group made two acquisitions. The first was Yorkshire-based specialist mid-market commercial broker Sydney Packett & Sons. The other was Wiltshire-based Advance Insurance Agencies, a specialist personal and commercial lines broker.
