Major broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) has strengthened its global operating executive management with the addition of senior company leader Lucy Clarke.

The brokerage recently announced the appointment of Clarke to the group executive committee. She picks up her new role while keeping her current position as deputy CEO of JLT Specialty.

“Lucy’s appointment is richly deserved; she leads by example, delivers exceptional results and embodies JLT’s client-first, collaborative culture,” said JLT group CEO Dominic Burke.

“Her experience, judgement and drive make Lucy an excellent addition to our Group Executive Committee,” he added.

Clarke has worked within the insurance industry for more than 25 years in the London market. After joining JLT in 2002, she has been responsible for delivering the strategy of JLT Specialty.

As deputy CEO, Clarke also leads JLT’s energy team, one of the leading global energy insurance brokers.

Clarke has been working closely with Paul Knowles, chief executive of JLT Specialty and a fellow group executive committee member.
