Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced the appointment of Charles-Henri Pavie (pictured) as commercial director.

In his new role, Pavie will be responsible for managing the distribution department and report to the general manager of LSM France.

“Charles-Henri’s underwriting expertise and solid commercial experience in insurance companies and brokers will be a key factor in Liberty’s development,” said Emmanuel Silvestre, deputy managing director of LSM France. “Charles-Henri joins us at a key moment in Liberty’s development, he will lead our strategy of proximity with our broker and client partners, in close collaboration with the underwriting teams.”

Prior to joining LSM, Pavie was a development director at the specialist broker Add Value. He also worked at the insurer Hiscox as a developer underwriter, later moving to Chubb to serve as director of private clients and then head of property and health. He is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure d’Assurances and has a Master’s degree in Business Law from Paris XII.
