Markerstudy has announced that it has appointed Clare Lunn (pictured) to the newly created role of head of fraud.

As head of fraud, Lunn will be responsible for leading and developing Markerstudy’s fraud prevention strategy. She will report to COO Gary Hueting. She will also launch a new fraud webinar series to provide insights to broker partners.

The first webinar is due to be held on September 22, 2022, a release said.

“Having recently chaired the General Insurance Fraud Committee for over three years and with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Clare is a true fraud prevention advocate,” commented Gary Hueting. “She has already been pivotal in making important changes as we continue to tackle new and emerging risks and we’re thrilled she is part of our future as we continue to fight fraud.”

Lunn has served as chair of the UK industry’s General Insurance Fraud Committee for over three years. She joins Markerstudy from LV=, where she worked in counter-fraud for almost nine years.

Last week, Markerstudy Broking entered into a second partnership agreement with technology company Vet-AI, to allow the latter’s Joii Pet Care offering to be made available to the former’s Purely Pets policyholders.
