Lloyd’s syndicate Probitas 1492 has expanded its financial lines team with the addition of
Allianz underwriter Kiran Wignall.
Wignall will specialise in professional indemnity (re)insurance and will report to senior underwriter Paul Nolan.
He will also work closely alongside the rest of Probitas 1492’s financial lines team, which includes head of financial lines Charles Boorman and senior underwriters James Andlaw and Ernesto Medina.
“We’ve experienced high demand from brokers and clients and have exceeded all of our targets to date within the financial lines division, so I very much welcome the addition of another PI underwriter to the syndicate,” Nolan said.
“I have no doubt Kiran’s expertise is going to be a major asset and will help us to continue our success,” he added.
Wignall joined Probitas 1492 on January 12, coming from Allianz where he was responsible for underwriting across various PI products within their global corporate and specialty division.
