The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), which has given its annual award ceremony a facelift with the introduction of new categories, is accepting nominations only until the end of this week.

Taking place on June 26 at The Principal Hotel in York after the Network Conference, the CII 2019 Awards will be presented by president Jonathan Clark. Nominations are open to the CII and Personal Finance Society membership.

In addition to the Local Institute Council Member of the Year, five new categories have been launched. These include the Emerging Professional of the Year, Chartered Firm/Member of the Year, Initiative of the Year, and Unsung Hero of the Year. The top honour is The Allan Bridgewater Award for Excellence.

“These new categories are important because they celebrate inclusivity within the profession, something for which there has been a real drive towards as we begin to further understand the true benefits a broader range of skills and ideas brings to society,” commented CII chief executive Sian Fisher.

“But more so, these awards recognise and celebrate the excellence that our members show in delivering better outcomes to consumers.”

The nomination form is available on the CII website.
