The Society of Insurance Broking (SIB) – part of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) – has welcomed a new board member.

Suzi Rackley, client director at Aston Lark, is the Society’s newest board member. Rackley began her insurance career as a relationship manager in 1991, working for a small high street broker as a filing clerk. She later joined Bowring Marsh McLennan, where she spent four years, and then Chubb Insurance for another four years. She also previously served as manager of the relationship management team of Aon Private Clients, before finally joining Aston Lark in 2008 to help set up the company’s private clients division.

“I am delighted to be joining the CII Society of Insurance Brokers, it’s a great platform for brokers and offers fantastic opportunities to network, improve knowledge and share experiences,” said Rackley.

Rackley added that she looks forward to raising the profile of personal lines, as the segment does not have a big enough voice in the insurance market as a whole – despite being in control of protecting clients’ valuable assets.

“What I can offer is an experienced view on how we are perceived and ways we can improve our communication to build better relationships and ensure our clients see us as trusted partners,” she commented.

“I’m delighted to welcome Suzi on to the Advisory Board of the Society of Insurance Broking. She brings a wealth of broking experience, and significant insights on achieving the best outcomes for clients with demanding and complex needs, particularly in the consumer space,” said SIB chair Kevin Hancock.
