Starpeak, a specialist digital distributor, has announced the expansion of its insurance offerings for the Creatives sector through a partnership with commercial insurer Peach.

The new product targets photographers, videographers, web designers, and a broad range of creative professionals, including advertising agencies, ceramic artists, interior designers, script writers, and visual merchandisers.

The Creatives product provides cover for public liability and offers optional benefits such as professional indemnity, employers’ liability, technical business equipment, personal accident, operating abroad, and legal expenses.

According to Starpeak, the product is a response to ongoing research identifying gaps in protection for niche markets within the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) space.

Andy Brownsell (pictured above, left), commercial director at Starpeak, said the company is focused on creating products that are not readily available to certain professions, particularly online or at competitive rates.

“We have established a strong track record for using our data analytics and digital marketing capabilities to build products from the ground up and grow our customer base quickly,” Brownsell said.

Ryan Bendelow (pictured above, right), director of commercial at Peach, noted that both companies are committed to supporting niche SME markets that currently lack access to adequate cover.

“It’s refreshing to work alongside a partner that can leverage its technology expertise to deliver superior customer experiences,” he said.

Starpeak first partnered with Peach three years ago to support its growth in the micro and SME insurance market. The distributor cited Peach’s market understanding and ability to quickly co-create schemes tailored to customer requirements as key factors in the partnership.

Earlier in the year, the two companies extended their Hairdressing Insurance scheme to include cover for salon premises.

Meanwhile, Peach has also collaborated with other partners, such as Yutree, to launch a property owners binder aimed at brokers seeking swift cover or solutions for risks outside the conventional market.
