Travelers Europe has appointed Nick Rnjak to lead its wholly owned platform in the Lloyd’s insurance market.

From his previous role as chief underwriting officer at Travelers Syndicate Management Limited, Rnjak is now moving on to head the platform. He held underwriting leadership positions at Ace, Gerling, Cox Syndicate, and HSB prior to joining Travelers in 2007.

“It’s an exciting time in our industry, and we have an incredibly talented and experienced team in our Lloyd’s group,” commented Rnjak, who has over four decades of industry experience in the London market. “I look forward to working with the team in this new capacity as we strengthen our broker relationships and provide comprehensive solutions that meet the sophisticated needs of their clients.”

The underwriting veteran will report to Travelers Europe chief executive Matthew Wilson.

“Nick is a proven leader and respected underwriter who has been instrumental in our Syndicate’s strong performance over the past several years,” noted Wilson. “His extensive industry knowledge will help us to continue delivering specialised products in key segments and position us for even greater success.”

Travelers Syndicate at Lloyd’s underwrites specialist and complex business classes such as marine, global property, power and utilities, accident and special risks, aviation, and energy.
