Let’s be honest, there is a fairly long competitive streak throughout the insurance industry – and that definitely applies to kart racing events.

Insurance Endurance is in the books for another year having taken place at the PFI Racetrack near Grantham late last month. The six-hour contest was a battle between 16 eight-member teams and saw Bankstone take top honours over last year’s winner LAMP Champs, who were just 56.77 seconds behind. RacerBlue took third, a further two laps back.

In terms of the fastest lap, that went to Coplus – who secured a lightning quick 1:10:11 lap time, meaning an average speed of just over 44mph despite the curvy circuit. Meanwhile, Plantec Assist enjoyed the Pit Stop Challenge, managing to change all four tyres in just 10.9 seconds.

Overall it was a dramatic day of racing – and now companies can register for next year’s events at insuranceendurance.co.uk.
