WTW has announced the appointment of Gaby Joyner as the head of Great Britain at WTW. The appointment follows the retirement of John Ball from the firm in August 2023.

Joyner, who has been a part of the company for 23 years, currently serves as the head of WTW’s Employee Experience business for Europe. She will continue in this role while taking on additional responsibilities as she leads WTW’s Great Britain business.

In her new role, she will serve as the external representative for WTW at a corporate level, alongside supporting GB business leaders and colleagues in the growth and retention of key clients and prospects. As per her LinkedIn, Joyner graduated from the University of Bath with an IMML in management and French.

“I am thrilled that Gaby will be taking on the Great Britain leadership role, while continuing in her existing remit in the Employee Experience business,” WTW head of Europe Anne Pullum said. “Gaby’s expertise in helping companies to enhance their own employee experience and engagement makes her ideally suited to lead one of our largest and most important geographic markets. As a geography leader, Gaby will be able to help drive growth across WTW’s businesses, as well as continuing to deliver on the implementation of WTW’s inclusion & diversity strategy, championing an inclusive working environment where everyone is heard and respected.”

Joyner herself commented on her appointment, saying that it represents an opportunity to head a leading geography for the global broker.

“This is a very exciting opportunity to combine my experience as a business leader at WTW with the chance to lead a geography, so I am delighted to have been appointed in the role. I am a passionate believer in creating smart connections between our businesses that will provide interesting and career enhancing opportunities for colleagues and, ultimately, drive growth through innovation and collaboration,” Joyner said.

Joyner’s promotion follows other several high-profile people moves for WTW in Great Britain; recently, the global broker also expanded its operations in the country with several key appointments, including Sara Fardon who has assumed leadership of the Midlands office and Chris Milnes who has been tapped to lead WTW’s North and Scotland offices.
