Yutree has announced the appointment of Becky Glover (pictured above) as finance director, a move aligning with the company’s forthcoming phase of growth and transformation.

Before joining Yutree, Glover held the position of finance director at a software technology company in Cambridge and recently received the esteemed title of finance director of the year at the Accounting Excellence Awards.

“I am very pleased to welcome Becky to the board as director of finance at such an exciting stage in our growth plan. She has an impressive track record and brings with her a wealth of experience from outside of the insurance industry. This is the first time we have appointed a finance director and is a sign of our growing presence in Newmarket that we have been able to attract someone of Becky’s calibre to this important new role,” Yutree CEO Kevin Hancock said.

Her appointment is also part of a recent wave of new additions to the Yutree team, including client executive Jo Hocking and finance administrator Karen Andrew, along with new apprentices.

As part of the company’s insurance apprenticeship scheme, Danny Elvin will be joining as an underwriting apprentice, transitioning from a prior role at McDonald’s in Newmarket. Mia Atkins has also joined as a broking apprentice following three years in the hospitality sector.

Both successful applicants were drawn to the program to enhance their skillset and gain practical work experience, it was stated.

The Level 3 Certificate in Insurance stands as a fundamental qualification for insurance professionals across all sectors of the industry. The apprenticeship equips individuals with essential knowledge and confidence in key disciplines before they focus their subsequent studies and specialisations in line with their ambitions and career aspirations.

“We are delighted to welcome both Danny and Mia to the Yutree family. Having successfully integrated a number of apprentices into our business I’m pleased we’re now in a position to expand our programme and support a new generation of self-motivated, talented people that are keen to develop a career in insurance,” Yutree managing director Laura Hancock said.
