Henry Warner, who started his career at Marsh advising clients on cyber and professional indemnity risks, has been appointed as cyber broker/producer at global wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker Ed.

Warner makes the switch from SafeOnline where he served as a cyber, media, and technology broker. At Ed he will support the creation of a cyber centre of excellence, in addition to playing a key part in developing the brokerage’s cyber book.

Effective immediately, Warner assumes the role and reports to Ed divisional director James Baird, who is in charge of professional and executive risks.

“He has already made a name for himself in the cyber market based on his expertise and client focus,” noted Baird. “The introduction of GDPR in May, coupled with the increasingly visible impact of cyberattacks on businesses, has heightened the need for robust and relevant cyber insurance cover.”

The Ed director also described the new hire as an “excellent addition” to the firm.

“Henry will play a key role in ensuring our offering evolves with the needs of clients,” added Baird. “I am very pleased to welcome him to the team.”
