There is a new divisional director, property, and a new head of claims broking at independent London broker Ballantyne Brokers Ltd.
The firm has swooped to add Ian Martin (pictured above) for the property role, and Derrick Lloyd (pictured below) for the claims position. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Martin was most recently with Willis Re as director of alternative distribution operations. His credentials also include time spent with Aon’s MGA and programme solutions team. Meanwhile, Lloyd boasts more than 30 years in the industry, most recently as claims director with Decus Insurance Brokers.
Ballantyne’s CEO Ross Ballantyne described the duo as exceptional.
“These appointments ensure that our senior team has the full range of experience and knowledge that we need to guarantee the ongoing, successful growth of Ballantyne Brokers,” he said. “Both Ian and Derrick bring with them outstanding insurance expertise and networks within their specialist areas, and I look forward to welcoming them both to the team.”
