It looks like the rollout of CPU Group’s automated artificial intelligence claims validation tool for laptop and mobile insurance couldn’t have come at a better time.

Amid the new national lockdown, the UK-based specialist mobile technology insurance provider said it is able to offer an enhanced service, having just launched the new claims validation model within CPU Group’s online GENIE platform following a successful testing and pilot phase.

“We have for many years provided a rapid delivery claims service by creating a platform that encourages customers to submit claims online – over 95% of claims are submitted online,” noted managing director Greg Gregory.

“Over the past 12 months we have worked on building a tech solution to validate claims 24/7 using artificial intelligence, and as a result we are now able to provide outcomes in seconds, instantly informing both the customer and the approved service centre which means we can offer a same-day repair/replacement service.”

The company highlighted that the new functionality has been introduced at a time when, due to coronavirus-related restrictions, many are struggling with service provision and meeting service level agreements.

Gregory went on to note: “We believe the claims service is the most important aspect of mobile device insurance and have invested heavily in the development of the AI (artificial intelligence) features to ensure our business, education, and retail customers can continue to operate with minimal disruption by speeding up the repair and replacement service.

“Never before has this been so important with the remote working and home learning situation enforced on business and schools.”
