Cytora is on a roll this year, appointing Max Pepe as its new chief marketing officer (CMO) – only four months after the appointments of industry veterans Juan de Castro and Liuben Siarov as chief operating & commercial officer and chief data scientist, respectively.

Pepe joins Cytora from global adtech company Ogury, where he successfully led and grew the corporate marketing function. He also held senior roles at Mozoo and AdinCube and founded REBELHEAD to help companies find product category differentiation.

“Innovation is no longer a choice in insurance – it’s a necessity because insurance companies of the future are being built today,” Pepe said.

“Cytora is solving the biggest problems facing commercial insurance companies today as they seek to deepen their relevance and unlock growth in a world undergoing fundamental technology shifts. I couldn’t be more excited to join such an intelligent team on such a purpose-driven quest to transform the world of commercial insurance.”

In the new role, Pepe will serve as a core member of Cytora’s leadership team and oversee the overall marketing strategy of the company, including brand, growth, product marketing, communications, digital, and events.

Richard Hartley, the chief executive officer of Cytora, commented: “Max is a highly accomplished and creative marketing leader, whose success with hyper-growth start-ups makes him a great addition to our team. He has a proven ability to create and shape category leadership for market-defining technology firms, and we’re excited about Max’s role in Cytora’s next phase of its growth.”
