A familiar face in the insurtech world has become the first chief commercial officer (CCO) at insurtech Bought By Many.
The key recruit, Charlotte Halkett (pictured), left buzzvault in April after serving as managing director of insurance product. Halkett was part of the original start-up team at insurethebox, where she spent seven years.
“We’re over the moon that Charlotte has joined the business,” stated Bought By Many chief executive and co-founder Steven Mendel, whose firm enjoyed a £15 million Series B funding in 2018.
“She has an incredible track record in developing and delivering innovative insurance products, and her dedication to quality and customer experience fits perfectly with Bought By Many’s mission. She’s been a catalyst for change in our industry and one who we’re proud to announce as our first CCO.”
Commenting on her new role, the former general insurance actuary said she is delighted to be able to join Bought By Many’s roster, which Halkett described as talented.
“I have admired Bought By Many’s innovation ever since I first met them in 2012, and cheered their phenomenal results from the sidelines because they demonstrate how great customer focus and ethics can lead to real success in the insurance industry,” she said.
