Insurtech Zywave has expanded its Broker Briefcase platform with a new offering aimed at improving insurer and broker partnerships.

The Broker Briefcase was designed to support brokers in their sales and marketing practices by providing them with customer-facing content produced in-house. Zywave’s latest offering will allow insurers, managing general agents (MGAs) and third parties to introduce their own content directly into the platform for their broker partners to easily access.

Markel UK will be the first to adopt the updated platform, Zywave revealed in a release, describing the partnership as an effective way for Markel to “communicate its market leading proposition and appetite.”

“We are delighted to be launching Zywave’s latest solution to the UK market and to have such a forward-thinking partner as Markel UK on board,” said Zywave CEO Jason Liu, adding that the expanded Broker Briefcase offering “allows insurers to create a targeted approach to its broker audience, as well as support brokers in providing best-in-class value to their customers.”

“Markel UK is committed to supporting the growth ambitions of our broker partners, and Zywave’s latest product update will add an important new element to the business-focused services we already provide,” said Simon Johnston, managing director at Markel UK. “As an innovative business always looking to improve our offering and access to brokers, Zywave’s tool will be invaluable to Markel UK’s growth plans.”

The Broker Briefcase platform will also present insurers with the added benefit of gaining access to data insights on their content performance, which they could then use to customise their approach and improve their content accordingly.

“Zywave has always been focused on helping to improve the insurance market’s distribution channels, and our expanded Broker Briefcase offering does just that,” said Liu.

Zywave’s content solutions are also available in the US and Canada.  Last year, the UK insurech announced its acquisition of ClarionDoor, a commercial product distribution software developer based in California.
