Peter Carter

Peter joined WTW in 2015 and has over 30 years of experience across Banking, Insurance and Consulting industries.

Peter has led the Captive and Insurance Management Solutions team globally since 2019 and is based in London. Since 2023 he additionally leads WTW’s climate consulting business which specialises in helping clients identify, quantify, and manage climate related risks. In these roles he is also a member of WTW’s Risk and Analytics Leadership team.

Prior to this, Peter served as the Finance Director for WTW’s global business segment Investment, Risk and Reinsurance. He also served as CFO for Willis Limited, the regulated entity for transaction broking services in the UK.

Prior to joining WTW he was Head of Business Finance for Retail Banking and Wealth Management for Europe at HSBC. Before working at HSBC, he held various senior finance roles in retail banking at Lloyds Banking Group and at Barclays, Barclaycard International. At Barclaycard, he became CFO and Sweden MD for a Scandinavian joint venture between Barclays Bank and Swedbank based in Stockholm, Sweden.
