OAMPS Insurance Brokers will have a reunion for its former employees, to be held at broking group McLardy McShane’s headquarters.

McLardy McShane’s founders, Don McLardy and Mike McShane, were employees of OAMPS. The reunion will be held at the broking group’s Richmond headquarters on May 12, 2022 (Thursday), with the cocktail event commencing at 5:30pm.

“OAMPS was a ground-breaking insurance brokerage in many ways, and many of today’s leading brokers across Australia had their early experience within the OAMPS Group,” McLardy said.

In 2014, OAMPS was acquired by Arthur J Gallagher & Co (Gallagher), one of the largest risk management and insurance broking companies in the world, after eight years of ownership by Wesfarmers Limited.

All former OAMPS employees are welcome to the event, and OAMPS founder Peter Claringbold will join them in a “fun night of reminiscing.”

The event follows McLardy McShane’s series of Group Professional Development Days in February, which included updates on insurer markets, group compliance and marketing, and informative sessions featuring three of the broking group’s divisions.
