“The perfect partnership” is how Auto Windscreens sales director Sam Edge describes the tie-up between the windscreen business and Co-op Insurance.

It’s been announced that Auto Windscreens is now the insurer’s preferred vehicle glass repair and replacement provider for the next three years. Under the deal, the former will manage both Co-op’s direct motor insurance book and corporate fleet.

Through the contract, more than 20,000 glass repair and replacement jobs per year are anticipated. These will be handled by Auto Windscreens’ specialist contact centre and technician workforce.

“We are extremely excited to be working with the Co-op’s team and to build on our already positive relationship with them,” commented Edge.

“Auto Windscreens and Co-op form the perfect partnership; we’re both innovative companies well-known for delivering excellent customer experiences, while also supporting local communities and charitable causes.”

Prior to the new alliance, the two camps had established an existing arrangement via brokers where the equivalent of 1% of every policyholder’s glass claim excess is donated directly to charities supported by Co-op – Hope for Justice and British Red Cross.

Lifting the lid on Co-op’s choice, supply chain general manager Andy Johnson stated: “Auto Windscreens impressed us throughout the process with a solution that we believe will create a seamless claims journey for our customers.

“Having access to data instantly is a huge benefit, giving us a clearer view of claims management and forecasting.”
