RVU – the owner of Confused.com, Uswitch, Tempcover and Money.co.uk – has announced the appointment of Steve Dukes (pictured) as CEO of Confused.com. Dukes, who joined the price comparison platform in 2019 as its first-ever COO, is taking over from Louise O’Shea who has stepped down after a six-year stint as CEO.

In a Press release, RVU noted that before joining Confused.com, Dukes served in product leadership and general management roles in high-growth companies within the financial services and eCommerce sectors. This includes a stint as CEO at Commuter Club.

Commenting on the appointment, Tariq Syed, CEO of RVU said: “Steve is a proven product and business leader who we are confident will drive forward the next generation of innovation in our services and enable Confused.com to continue to support its customers for many years to come.

“I would like to thank Louise for leading the business over a significant period of transformation and growth.”

Dukes noted that the past 12 months have brought significant change in the insurance industry and a challenging economic climate. Confused.com will work closer than ever with its partners to get better deals, he said, and to improve its proposition so it can provide the best possible service to its customers.

“Confused.com is a fantastic brand, with a strong history, firmly rooted in South Wales,” he added. “I’m humbled by how dedicated our team is to delivering for consumers at a time where getting the best value for services is more important than ever.”
