Allianz has promoted Helen Bryant to regional manager for London, effective July 1 of this year. She will be replacing the retiring Keith Culling, who will leave the company on July 8.
Bryant is the current regional manager for Central & East. She joined Allianz in 2001 and held a number of key management roles.
Andrew Broughton, director of broker markets for Allianz Commercial, commented: “Keith has been integral to the success of our Commercial business in the London market over the past decade. We have gone from strength to strength in this very important region, and Keith’s leadership has no doubt played a key part in this. I would like to thank him for his fantastic contribution.
“I’m very pleased that Helen has been promoted internally, which is a testament to the existing talent within our business. She has a proven track record of success within Allianz and I am looking forward to the vast amount of expertise that she will bring to her new role.”
Meanwhile, Alan Thorpe was appointed as head of London property markets, effective August 1. He joins Allianz from
Zurich Insurance, where he worked for 11 years and most recently served as head of trading, real estate, London.
Broughton said of the hiring: “I’m delighted to welcome Alan to Allianz. He is very well established in the industry, particularly within the real estate sector and he brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of the market.”
