International broker and risk manager Aon has completed its acquisition of Admix, a major health and benefits brokerage and solutions firm in Brazil.

The company did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction, which was first announced in November 2016.

Aon health and benefits CEO John Zern said the acquisition of Admix allows the brokerage giant to expand its capabilities and improve client service throughout Latin America.

“Admix’s brokerage and operational platform combined with Aon’s world-class actuarial, brokerage, and consulting capabilities creates the largest, deepest and most experienced health and benefits team in the Brazil market,” Zern said.

The Brazilian business has been operating for more than 25 years, serving over 1.4 million beneficiaries across 6,700 companies of all industries and sizes. It places about US$618.8 million in health and benefits premiums each year.

In an earlier statement, Admix founder and owner Cesar Antunes said Aon will enhance his company’s ability to create and execute health solutions.

“We are excited about Aon’s vision for the future of health and benefits in Brazil as evidenced by this investment to create a combined firm with the highest quality people and solutions in the industry,”Antunes said.
