To better meet the growing demands of its clients, A-One Insurance Group has created 24 new jobs since January 2020.

The insurance group said that it has taken on 24 new staff since early 2020, largely as commercial account handlers and in sales roles. The company’s workforce now sits at 152 experts.

It stated that it has seen “strong” growth in commercial and property owners’ insurance over the past two years. It also reported “significant expansion” across its cyber, marine, personal insurances and private medical insurance businesses.

“Despite the effects of the pandemic over the past two years, we have continued to see strong growth as we have continued to win business from our competitors,” said A-One group operations director Sarah Smith. “This is because of our ability to solve problems for clients.”

Smith added that there has been talk about the difficulties of recruiting people since the pandemic restrictions were relaxed, but A-One worked hard to make itself a “great place to work.”

“We are delighted that we have created 24 new jobs across the group. Seeing our A-One family grow over the past two years has been a proud achievement for us,” she added.

Smith also noted that the insurance sector continues to be a challenging one – making special mention of commercial clients, who are seeing their premiums increase due to the rise in the costs of claims related to supply chain delays, as well as increases in labour and legal fees.

“These have increased significantly in recent months as a direct result of global issues and the cost-of-living crisis.”

A-One Insurance projects further growth as it develops new initiatives for clients to support them.
