Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed Farah Buckley as non-executive director.

Buckley has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a deep understanding of M&A, risk and corporate finance. She is currently a non-executive board member at iHybrid Ltd, an ePOS tech start-up, and was previously head of investment solutions at Hermes GPE, an independent global private markets investor.

Earlier in her career, Buckley was head of UK for private equity firm Adveq, director at MVision Private Equity Advisers, and associate director at Almeida Capital. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

“We are delighted to welcome Farah to the board,” David Ibeson, Apollo Group CEO, said in a statement. “Her business acumen and experience in growth and investment strategy will be invaluable to Apollo as we continue to build and grow a first-class privately owned underwriting platform trading at Lloyd’s.”

Apollo is an independent specialist re/insurer operating in multiple lines. It offers underwriting services at Lloyd’s and leads a number of London market consortia.
