AXA’s risk management and insurance arm for large cap companies will launch its new line of business dedicated to the energy and chemicals sectors, on January 01.

Through the latest specialised business line, AXA Corporate Solutions will provide clients with property, liability and construction insurances.

“The new approach, combining three lines of business, has been developed specifically to respond to the growing requests of our existing and prospective clients working in the energy, power-generation, renewables and chemicals sectors,” said AXA Corporate Solutions CEO Rob Brown.

The company said it will also expand its underwriting scope into mid and downstream chemical risks.

Energy and chemicals chief underwriting officer Klaus Hoffmann will lead the new line of business across 15 existing AXA Corporate Solutions offices globally.

“Our offer is designed to maximise value for clients and brokers while achieving significant growth as a part of our long-term strategy,” Hoffmann said.

As part of AXA’s climate change strategy, the new line of business will partner with risk managed companies that are engaged in reducing their impact on the environment.
