Bridge Insurance Brokers Ltd has appointed Wayne Knowles (pictured) to lead its expanding private clients division.

He brings over 18 years of private client insurance experience to the role.

Knowles will be supported by Nathan Drew, who joins with a decade of underwriting expertise.

The appointment comes as Bridge expands in private client business through both client recommendations and internal referrals from its corporate segment.

"We have seen an increase in client recommendations, as well as internal referrals. Particularly with our corporate clients, where we aim to cater for their personal insurance requirements. Our plan is to build relationships with all Bridge clients by offering a bespoke and personal service," said Bridge CEO Roger Potts.

Knowles will work with Bridge's in-house claims team to improve service delivery across policy lifecycles, from initial advice through to claims handling and renewals.

The division focuses on providing insurance solutions for valuable possessions, security requirements, jewellery coverage, and building project protection.

"Referrals are testament to the trust our clients have in us," said Knowles. "Bridge's in-house claims team means that the structure is already in place to provide the best possible service to existing and new private clients. Clients can be advised throughout the lifecycle of their policies, given solutions and advice on how to protect their most valuable possessions, and they will be assisted with any ongoing claims as well as renewals."

Headquartered in London and Manchester, Bridge Insurance Brokers was founded in 1970 as an independent corporate insurance broker.
