Brown & Brown has completed the acquisition of Oxlea Investments, which trades as Stewart & Partners, marking a significant expansion of its operations within the UK.

Stewart & Partners, a brokerage firm based in Welling, Kent, will now operate under the umbrella of Green Insurance Group (Greens), Brown & Brown's retail broker in the South East.

This acquisition, which has already received regulatory approval, also represents a strategic move by Brown & Brown to strengthen its position in the UK insurance market. While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the merger is anticipated to offer mutual benefits for both entities, enhancing service delivery to clients and expanding the market reach of Brown & Brown in the UK.

Founded in the 1960s, Stewart & Partners has built a reputation for providing commercial and personal lines insurance. The entire team, including the senior leadership, will join Greens, ensuring continuity of service for their existing clientele. The business is set to continue operations from its current location, maintaining its commitment to the local community.

“Stewart & Partners is the epitome of a well-run, customer-centric community broker. I’ve been impressed by the team’s dedication to customer service across their portfolio, and I’m confident they will make an excellent contribution to Brown & Brown in the future,” Greens chief executive Duncan Coleman said.
