Insurer and healthcare group Bupa has created a new role to lead sales and client relationship strategy for its network of UK clinics – snapping up Nuffield Health business development director Alaana Linney (pictured).

Come July 16, Linney will assume the position of sales director to look after consumer, business-to-business, and intermediary sales for Bupa health clinics. She brings with her over 12 years of commercial and operational experience.

“I am very excited to be joining one of the biggest brands in healthcare,” commented the incoming sales director. “This is a great business with lots of potential, and I look forward to working with our customers and key partners to grow and develop our strategy.”

Currently there are more than 50 Bupa health clinics across the UK.

“I’m delighted Alaana is joining our business,” said Bupa health clinics director Sarah Melia. “With such a wealth of experience, I look forward to working with her to further shape and drive our strategy, bringing us closer to customers.”

Bupa recently partnered with supermarket chain Waitrose, giving consumers greater access through pop-up clinics in selected stores.
