Chubb appoints Richard Britain as head of transactional risk insurance

New hire joins from DWF law firm and has over a decade’s experience with warranty and indemnity insurance

International insurer Chubb has appointed Richard Britain as head of transactional risk insurance for its overseas general insurance division, effective immediately. He will be based in London and report to Timothy O'Donnell, executive vice president, financial lines, for overseas general insurance.
 
Britain is a lawyer with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, as well as in international M&A and capital markets transactions. He worked for over ten years on warranty and indemnity insurance, alongside underwriters on new product development and policy wordings. He joins Chubb from DWF LLP in London, where he was a partner in the corporate department.
 
Regarding the appointment, O’Donnell commented: "Richard, with his extensive legal and insurance market knowledge and experience, is strongly placed to ensure we anticipate and cover our clients' evolving needs and we are thrilled to have him on board.”
