Clear Group has moved its London headquarters to newly refurbished offices at 24 Monument Street in the City of London, ending a stay of more than a decade at Great Tower Street.
The move brings all London-based staff onto a single floor, a change the group says is designed to support its next phase of growth.
The new office includes efficient heating and cooling systems and rainwater harvesting to reduce energy and water use, alongside LED lighting throughout, extensive natural daylight and secure storage for 44 bicycles.
Clear Group said the fit-out reflects its commitment to a more environmentally responsible workplace and supports its net zero target.
Clear Group's move to Great Tower Street back in the mid-2010s was itself framed by the company as a step into "the insurance capital of London," near Lloyd's, at a time when the broker was still expanding from its origins as a New Malden-based firm founded in 2001.
Since Mike Edgeley joined as group chief executive in January 2021, backed by investment from ECI Partners and, more recently, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Clear Group has pursued an active buy-and-build acquisition strategy across UK broking, including its 2024 entry into Lloyd's wholesale broking through the acquisition of Lilley Plummer Risks and its subsequent acquisition of Newman Pearce & Partners this year, further building out its wholesale and international liability capability. Consolidating all London staff onto a single floor at this point reads as much as an operational response to that acquisition-driven headcount growth as a simple office upgrade.
Edgeley said the move to 24 Monument Street represents much more than a change of address, reflecting the group's continued growth and evolution and its commitment to providing an outstanding working environment for its people.
He said bringing colleagues together on a single floor will encourage greater collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing, and that after more than ten successful years at Great Tower Street, the move demonstrates confidence in the future and provides a strong base for continued growth.
