Ecclesiastical appoints group development director

British-owned company’s new appointee to drive its corporate strategy to 2020 and beyond

Specialist charity-owned international financial services group Ecclesiastical has appointed David Moore to the role of group development director.

Moore will take on the new role on December 05, 2016, and will report to Mark Hews, group chief executive. He will be in charge of delivering Ecclesiastical’s corporate strategy to 2020 and beyond.

Moore has 25 years of experience in design and execution of strategy, performance improvement, and change initiatives in the financial services and other sectors. He joins Ecclesiastical from Assicurazioni Generali in Milan where he was global head of group strategy. Before that, he served as director of group strategy and transformation at Direct Line Group. His international career also includes senior roles at McKinsey, Bain and Company, and Christie’s International.

Hews welcomed Moore’s appointment, saying: “Ecclesiastical is a different kind of business, working for the greater good of society. At the same time, we are driving forward our UK General Insurance business, leveraging our unrivalled expertise in the education, charity, and heritage sectors.

“David will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we build upon our award-winning reputation.”
