London-listed insurer FBD Holdings has announced the additions of Enda Kyne and Jackie McMahon to the company’s executive management team.

The insurance firm named Kyne as chief technology and operations officer and promoted McMahon to the role of chief claims officer.

Kyne will join FBD on January 3, 2017, coming from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland where he currently serves as director of IT and technology transformation. He has held leadership roles in the technology and operations areas, including head of operations enablement at Bank of Ireland Group.

McMahon, who will take up his new role on October 1, joined FBD from Aviva in 2007. Most recently, he helped ensure the successful delivery of the company’s new policy administration system which went live last June.

The latest additions to the senior executive team make FBD well-positioned for the future, according to company chief executive Fiona Muldoon.

“The continued investment in our policy administration system will be transformational to our IT enabled approach in underwriting,” she said.  “I am very pleased to have Enda with us for the next phase of that IT journey.

“In addition, it is of enormous benefit to FBD that someone of Jackie’s proven capability will now undertake a similarly transformational role in the claims area.”
