Fish Insurance has appointed Mike Holborn as business partnership manager.

Holborn – who has more than three decades of experience in the mobility and assistive product sector – joins Fish Insurance’s business partnership team as it expands its service to firms operating in the disability market. He will be responsible not only for development of the authorised representative service offering but also for the rollout of planned new products.

Prior to Fish Insurance, Holborn was group sales and compliance manager at First Senior Group. He also served as managing director of Bison Bede Stairlifts, Tendercare, and Eurocare Showers; and sat on the board of Walker Greenbank, as well as ran Fogarty’s care and comfort division.

“Fish is a well-respected insurance business and it is always looking to innovate and deliver insurance-related products that resonate with customers,” commented Holborn. “Its focus and commitment to putting the customer first is something that chimes with me, and I look forward to working with the rest of the team to deliver innovative insurance products to customers via our important business partnerships.”

Head of business partnerships Andy Mellor believes Holborn’s wealth of experience and knowledge will be hugely beneficial to Fish Insurance. “He’ll be a great asset to the business partnerships division and the wider business,” said Mellor.

The specialist insurer, part of PIB Insurance Group Limited, recently partnered with Accomable to offer customers of the booking platform 15% off travel insurance quotes.
