Louise Piper, who most recently served as Aviva’s international brokers director, is coming onboard Gallagher UK as head of strategic account management and will be in charge of managing the broker’s offering to large multinational clients.

Working alongside the specialist broking teams in the UK retail and specialty divisions, Piper will report to Jonathan Turner, Gallagher’s chief executive for specialty in the UK.

“I’m very pleased to be joining Gallagher and to contribute to the ambitious growth plans for the business,” said Piper, whose credentials also include time spent at Marsh, WTW, and AXA XL.

“I believe Gallagher’s culture and client-centric approach is second to none, and in my new role I will be focussed on how we can build on our offering to multinationals and other large corporates, to ensure clients get the very best cohesive service to manage all the different risks their business faces.”

When the appointment was announced, Turner cited Piper’s “huge” amount of leadership experience in account management.

“Simply, she is a fantastic addition to the Gallagher team,” commented the CEO. “She has a proven track record of driving business success through a deep understanding of customer needs, and her appointment demonstrates our commitment to offering our customers leading-edge solutions as their trusted risk partner.

“As the size and breadth of our business continues to grow, we want to ensure that our offering to complex, multinational entities is the best in the market, and Louise will work with our existing teams to support the evolution of our client proposition.”
