Global Risk Partners (GRP) has hired Grant Strickland (pictured) for the newly created role of chief data & analytics officer. He reports to Mike Bruce, group CEO.

According to a statement from GRP, Strickland has over 30 years of experience in data and analytics, including leading the business intelligence functions for Arthur J Gallagher and Hyperion.

In this new role, the intermediary added, Strickland will build on the group’s data strategy, lead the development of its data infrastructure, and use data analytics to deliver business insights that drive value for clients and insurer partners.

“Grant is a valuable addition to GRP’s team. Harnessing the power of our data assets has always been central to our organic growth strategy, and we have made significant progress in creating a data warehouse which integrates with our various businesses systems and holds data from over 300,000 clients,” said Bruce. “Grant’s major focus will be to leverage our data to provide a deeper understanding of our clients’ needs, improve our segmentation and work with our trading teams to create bespoke client propositions.

“The commercial potential from our data is immense and Grant will bring the experience and energy we need to deliver this important element of our group strategy.”
