Greg Collins has been named as the new chief executive officer of Miller, a chartered insurance brokerage headquartered in London. The appointment will be effective on January 1, 2017, subject to regulatory approval.

Collins will succeed Graham Clarke, who will assume the role of non-executive chairman of the company, also effective January 1.

A member of the London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (LIIBA), Collins has been part of the insurance industry since 1997, and he joined Miller in 2004 as head of its professional risks division. He was appointed to the Board in 2007 and became chief operating officer in 2011, and later deputy CEO in 2016.

“Becoming CEO of Miller is a great honour,” Collins commented. “Leading a business with such a great client base, outstanding workforce and proud history is a responsibility I take very seriously and look forward to with great excitement.

“I would like to thank Graham Clarke on behalf of everyone within our partnership for 16 hardworking years as CEO in which he has overseen some of the most important milestones in the history of our business. I very much look forward to continuing to work alongside him in his new capacity as non-executive chairman.”
