Managing general agent Thomas Miller Specialty is partnering with insurer HDI Global to develop new offshore marine and energy products.
 
The MGA’s offshore marine and energy team has arrived in London and Aberdeen and entered into an exclusive arrangement with HDI’s branch in the UK to become its global insurance partner.
 
Led by Bernt Hellman, the Thomas Miller Specialty team will work with HDI to launch a range of offshore marine and energy products in 2017.
 
“This is a significant and exciting step in Thomas Miller Specialty’s MGA strategy and I am delighted to welcome Bernt’s offshore marine and energy team to Thomas Miller,” said company deputy chairman Roger Lewis.
 
“We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with HDI,” he added.
 
For his part, HDI Global managing director Richard Taylor said the insurance firm is “thrilled” to work with Hellman and his team.
 
“It is our common goal for Thomas Miller Specialty to be in a position to bind business at the beginning of 2017,” he said.
 
Hellman’s team complements Thomas Miller Specialty’s existing marine, space, cyber and corporate kidnap and ransom product range.
