Guy Carpenter unveils international revamp

Announcement comes just one day after the company revealed a new president

Hot on the heels of announcing a new president for the international strand of its business, Guy Carpenter, the global reinsurance and risk advisory arm of Marsh & McLennan, has unveiled a newly created organisation for its global business.

The new Global Strategic Advisory organisation, which will comprise of the advisory, analytics, structured risk, M&A advisory, Lloyd’s capital and business intelligence capabilities of the firm, will be based in New York and aim to provide clients with a consistent global presence.

As part of the changes, Rob Bentley has been appointed as president of global strategic advisory with Vicky Carter appointed vice chairman of the organisation.

Bentley re-joins Guy Carpenter from Marsh, where he recently ran the US and Canada division and will report to Peter Hearn, president and CEO of Guy Carpenter.

“The new Guy Carpenter Global Strategic Advisory organization reflects our commitment to delivering a high-quality and consistently compelling global client experience,” Hearn said of the new branch of the business.

Carter, who will also report to Hearn and will be based in London, has more than 35 years’ experience in the reinsurance industry having recently served as vice chair of Guy Carpenter’s international operations.
