Acrisure Re, the reinsurance arm of brokerage and fintech service provider Acrisure, has announced the addition of industry veterans to its corporate advisory and solutions division (ARCAS).

The firm has named Nick Godfrey as head of capital markets, Jonathan Zisaruk as head of legacy, Lauren Johnson as vice-president, and Nick Triggs as non-executive board member and senior advisor. All appointments will be reporting to Acrisure Re managing director Ben Canagaretna.

Godfrey boasts 25 years of experience in the capital and insurance markets, holding risk owner, broker, and leadership positions in multiple business classes globally. He co-founded the reinsurance proprietary investment arm of BTG, which acquired Ariel Re, and most recently served as senior advisor at Barbican and Arch Re.

In his new role, Godfrey will be responsible for capital raising activities across insurance-linked securities (ILS), funds at Lloyd’s, and supporting M&A and other balance sheet engineering activities.

Zisaruk, meanwhile, is a chartered accountant with more than 18 years of experience in managing acquisitions of legacy reinsurance portfolios. He joins Acrisure Re after a 15-year stint at Enstar, most recently serving as head of M&A and executive vice-president.

Zisaruk will be responsible for leading all types of legacy transactions, including structured adverse development covers and classical loss portfolio transfers, and understanding how to get the best solutions for clients.

As ARCAS vice-president, Johnson will run the execution process across the division’s four pillars, namely strategic advisory, capital raising, legacy solutions, and M&A. She has a decade of industry experience, including stints as head of Lloyd’s and specialty analysis at Securis Investment Partners, and director in the risk consulting team at Willis Limited.

Finally, Triggs boasts extensive experience in advising company boards and executive management teams across the financial services sector. He has worked in the industry for more than 30 years and has closed around 140 M&A, equity and debt capital raising deals.

“I am delighted to welcome Nick, Jonathan and Lauren to the ARCAS team, as well as Nick Triggs to our advisory board,” said Canagaretna. “They are a testament to our focus on investing in talent, and their extensive knowledge of the capital markets, strong analytical expertise, and vast network of long-standing relationships will contribute toward our position as a trusted advisor for our clients.”
